Changelog

All notable changes to Generous.nz are recorded here, grouped by version. Every deployed build has a version number, a git tag, and an entry below.

Versioning scheme

Versions follow MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH:

• 0.x — pre-launch. Minor bumps mark a completed build phase or major feature set; patches are bug fixes on the current build.
• 1.0.0 — first public launch.
• 1.x+ — post-launch: minor = new features, patch = fixes, major = breaking changes or significant re-architecture.

Each version is tagged in git (v0.2.0) and the current version is kept in package.json. See docs/version-control.md for how to cut a release.

[0.9.304] — 2026-09-04

Changed

• Site is live on generous.nz (CloudPanel site, Let's Encrypt SSL, and AUTH/NEXT_PUBLIC URLs switched to generous.nz). generosity.co.nz now 301-redirects to generous.nz; payment webhooks and internal cron endpoints on the old domain keep working until Stripe's webhook destination is switched over.

• Rebranded to Generous.nz: every site reference to Generosity.co.nz now reads Generous.nz — header and email logos, page copy, help centre, legal documents, emails, blog posts, the changelog, and the database (including the Generous.nz Community Campaign title and author bylines). Technical identifiers (server paths, package name, download filenames) and support email addresses are unchanged.

• Help centre reviewed across all topics and updated:
  • Removed stale references to the fundraiser AI story generator (it no longer exists on the campaign form) and noted the fee-free $250 window in platform-fee guidance.
  • Added topics: QR code for your fundraiser page; wholesale go-live checklist; the 35-active-product limit; choosing which causes you support (Restrictions); and auto-generated voucher codes.

Changed

• Home page: new hero badge ("New Zealand's only AI powered hybrid fundraising platform"), reworded hero ("Raise money by selling items and accepting donations — all in one fundraiser"), added "Donors can cover the fee so you keep 100% of every gift", a new "Raise money your way" checklist section before How it works, and a wider closing paragraph on the dark section.

• Register page "See what you could sell" product display: bigger section heading and wider display area, larger product images and titles, and a larger, bolder "Sell this to make up to $XX per sale" line. Removed the Community Campaign direct-buy mentions from the intro copy and the product card.

• Register page hero now says "paid straight to your NZ bank account" and the fee-free box reads "No platform fees until you've raised $250. After that it's 5% + GST on what you raise — and donors can choose to cover it so you keep 100% of every gift" (with the key numbers bold).
• "See what you could sell" now rotates through up to the 50 most recent products instead of 8 (indicator dots cap at 12 so a large pool doesn't clutter the carousel).
